Boniface Kalanda joined MASAF in March 2005, as Director of Monitoring and Learning (DM&L). |
As Director of Monitoring and Learning, he is responsible for programme learning and accountability through monitoring project processes and impacts, documenting lessons learnt and sharing the lessons for programme performance improvement.
Boniface Kalanda previously worked as a Head of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation at the National AIDS Commission (NAC) from 2001 to 2002. Before that he was a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with a World Bank/Ministry of Health - Population and Family Planning Project (POP/FP) from 1999 to 2001.

Between 1993 and 1999 Boniface was a lecturer in Statistics at Chancellor College, University of Malawi. During the same period (1997 – 1998), Boniface worked as a Research Assistant/Teaching Assistant at Humboldt State University, a constituent University of the California State University System. |
| In the private sector, he worked as a Systems Support Representative with Burco Electronics/UNISYS Computers between 1992 and 1993. |
Boniface Kalanda holds a Ph.D (2004) in Epidemiology from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, University of Liverpool, England, UK; Masters Degree (1995) in Statistics from the University of Sheffield, England, UK and a Bachelors degree (1992) in Statistics and Computer Science from the University of Malawi. |
